GoByBike is Next Week!

GoByBike is just around the corner, and it looks like we are going to have some nice weather for the occasion!

Thank you to everyone who has signed up. It’s not too late to register, so please spread the word. The more the merrier, as this is a physical distancing friendly event.

Don’t forget to check the website on Monday morning for the grand reveal of the “Places” for the Pedal to Places Challenge! You will have all week to ride your bike to as many of the Places as you can, and collect the Code Words at each. Each code word collected will get you an entry into the prize draw. So, if you visit 1 Place, you’ll get 1 prize draw entry. If you visit all 19, you’ll be entered 19 times. Want to kick things off a little early? You can earn a bonus draw prize entry right now from the comfort of your chair by registering for Get Involved Nanaimo and subscribing to Reimagine Nanaimo. Once you’re there, why not fill out some of the questionnaires and other online activities to have your say about Nanaimo’s future?

Speaking of prizes – we have prizes! In addition to the Provincial Prize (Portugal Cycling Trip for 2) and the Pedal to Places Grand Prize ($200 gift card to the bike shop of the winner’s choice) we have even more prizes and promos to offer thanks to our generous local supporters: Rock City Cycles, Nanaimo Brain Injury Society, Team Copenhagen, VIU Students’ Union Pub, and the City of Nanaimo Wellness Committee. Some of the Places in the Pedal to Places have bonus incentives, so keep an eye out for the Places list on Monday for all the details.
