Let’s Ride! Vernon’s Guided Bike Tour Aims to Boost Rider Confidence

Join a Guided Safety Ride During GoByBike Week!

As part of GoByBike Week celebrations, the City of Vernon invites you to take part in a Guided Safety Ride—a free, group ride designed to boost your confidence and skills for cycling city streets and bike paths.

Led by an experienced ride leader, this practical ride will take participants on a tour of Vernon’s key cycling routes, highlighting best practices for safe and enjoyable urban cycling. The ride is open to all ages and skill levels—just bring your own bike (standard or electric) and ride what you’re comfortable with.

E-bikes are welcome and featured as part of the experience. Curious about trying one? Bird Bikes will be available to use for free—just sign up in advance through the GoByBike Vernon and North Okanagan page. A Bird representative will be on-site to get you set up. Please arrive by 9:45 AM if you plan to borrow a bike.

At the end of the ride, you’ll have the chance to connect one-on-one with a ride leader to map out a personalized route—whether you’re commuting to work, getting the kids to school, or exploring Vernon’s trail network.
