Tune Up Stations, Bike Racks and More

There is only a week to go until Fall GoByBike, so we wanted to share some of the upcoming events and things to check out during GoByBike Week.

Have you used any of OurSquamish’s new bike racks? Installed during the summer, these racks are strategically located to help you park your bike when visiting some of your favourite downtown Squamish businesses. If you use one during GoByBike, snap a picture of share it with @oursquamish, @squamish_can and @gobybikebc.

The Tune Up Station is back October 3rd at Brennan Park from 10:30am to 1:30pm. Bring your bike by to get that weird noise taken care, breaks tightened or seat adjusted. We will make sure your bike is safe to ride through the winter.

HUB Cycling based out of Vancouver is running some on-line over GoByBike week on different topics including Bike Adventuring with Sean Conway and E-Bikes. Head over to Go by Bike Week | HUB Cycling: Bike Events, Education, Action in Metro Vancouver (bikehub.ca) and click on Virtual Schedule to see the events and register.

Remember to share your best Fall biking safety tips (how to ride in the rain, in the dark, in the cold, etc) so that everyone can ride safely this GoByBike. Share your tips on social media, tag @squamish_can and @gobybikebc and use the hastag #FallBiking to be entered into a prize draw.

Remember, any rides you take during GoByBike (September 27th to October 10th) are eligible to be logged and entered for a prize. Rides to work, to school, to a friend’s house or to a local business all count! Connect your GoByBike account to Strava to make it even easier.

More events and prizes will be announced over the next week!
