Saturday, May 31 – GoByBike Week Kick-Off Event
Location: Maffeo Sutton Park
Time: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Celebrate the start of GoByBike Week with a fun, family-friendly afternoon at Maffeo Sutton Park!

- Vendors
- Ice Cream truck
- Giveaways and prize draws
Kick things off in style and get inspired for a full week of cycling fun!
Saturday, June 7 – Charity Ride for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation
Start Time: 11:30 AM
Location: Start & finish at Maffeo Sutton Park
Live Music by: Mid Island Community Band (starting at 12:30 PM)
Join our Charity Family Ride and help raise awareness for the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation!
Here’s how it works:
- Register for free at the GoByBike tent at Maffeo Sutton Park under the big blue tent or donate any amount to the following official donation link: BC Children’s Hospital Official Link Our Goal is to raise CAD 3,000
- Complete a short, scenic ride from the park to the Giant Pacific Octopus Artwork (perfect for all ages and skill levels).
- Take a photo of the octopus artwork and post it on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #helpingkidsshine and tag @bcchf.
- You’ll be automatically entered into a prize draw for your support!
After your ride, stick around to enjoy a performance by the Mid Island Community Band, starting at 12:40 PM.

Sunday, June 8 – Ride With Pride: Nanaimo Pride Parade
Meet-Up Time: 10:00 AM
Meeting Location: in front of White Rabbit Coffee – 321 Selby St A, Nanaimo, BC V9R 2R4
Post-Parade: Bike Valet & GoByBike Booth at Maffeo Sutton Park
Join GoByBike Nanaimo as we ride in the Nanaimo Pride Parade to celebrate inclusion and community on wheels!
- All bikes and riders welcome
- Ride in the parade with us – feel free to decorate your bike!
- After the parade, park your bike for free with our Bike Valet and enjoy the Pride festivities at Maffeo Sutton Park.
- Visit the GoByBike booth and soak in the music, joy, and celebration!
