And that’s a wrap!
Well, GoByBike Week has come and gone. And what a week! The weather was all-star. The riders in Mission came out in record numbers. And with those record numbers came the km’s and the prizes. We have winners of the Norco Storm Mountain Bike donated by Independent Cycles, the gift cards from Wenting’s Cycle & Ski and Independent Cycles and other smaller draw prizes for participants.
The organizing team and Mission Community Cycling Coalition are very thankful for all the riders that took part and went by bike. We can see more people riding more bikes more places in Mission and we are pumped for next year’s event where we can get even more people riding. Our participation rate beat all neighbouring cities (Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Langley and Maple Ridge) so we’ll be setting our sights on Vernon as they have amazing numbers of people getting out and riding for a city the same size as Mission. We’re coming for you Vernon!
We’d like to thank Aldergrove Credit Union for their sponsorship and donation of the gift card prizes. We asked, they delivered and allowed us to spread the word which clearly worked. Thanks ACU and the Mission Community Branch for your support.
