Tanya’s journey into the world of cycling began with humble beginnings — a plastic ride-on duck from her childhood. After progressing through tricycles, Tanya eventually embraced the freedom of a two-wheeler. Growing up several kilometers away from a bus route, she recognized early on that cycling wasn’t just about fun; it was a practical means of getting around. However, it wasn’t until she had the opportunity to work at a local bike shop that her cycling world truly expanded. Immersed in the cycling culture, she explored new disciplines, honed her maintenance skills, and found a supportive network of like-minded individuals who encouraged her journey.
For Tanya, cycling is not just about exercise or commuting. Whether she’s organizing bike-camping trips with friends, coaching skills clinics, or volunteering with youth programs like the KBRA Kids League, Tanya is on a mission to share her passion for biking with others.
